When Hurricanes Florence and Michael devastated families and communities, the Red Cross was on the ground and ready to respond. Whether it be a warm blanket, a hot meal or a shoulder to lean on, we have been able to be there for those in need thanks to the generosity and support of our donors.

The Red Cross also acknowledges the incredible commitment of our Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) and Disaster Responder members, whose year-round investment insures we can prepare for and respond to thousands of disasters across the country each year. Support from these companies and organizations allowed the Red Cross to pre-position supplies and personnel ahead of Hurricane Florence’s impact, and respond immediately to provide comfort and care to so many families that lost everything.
The majority of these companies and organizations made commitments ‘above and beyond’ their annual support following Hurricane Florence, and we are enormously grateful.
